The Florasis Gold Filigree Love Lock Lipstick draws its inspiration from the mythical Chinese Love Lock, a treasure said to contain the love energy of countless individuals. This concept is beautifully translated into the lipstick design, with the concentric lock signifying enduring love that withstands the test of time. The lipstick is a product of ancient Chinese gold filigree craftsmanship, a technique used in the imperial court. Pure gold filaments as thin as 0.2mm are created and then meticulously assembled by hand. This intricate work was carried out by Mr. Yuan Changjun, a top Chinese filigree craftsman and a representative inheritor of the intangible heritage filigree craft. The lipstick's lid, however, is made using modern 3D printing technology, showcasing an innovative blend of tradition and technology.

The design process was not without its challenges. With only a few gold filigree craftsmen in China, the team was fortunate to collaborate with a top-level craftsman. The thin gold filaments, which are used to create the motif and ornament on the product's surface, required precise techniques and were challenging to make. Additionally, combining a lipstick with a piece of jewelry posed a structural design challenge. However, the team cleverly integrated the structure into the product, resulting in a beautiful decorative detail.
